+ We want to see that which we can’t…
physical barriers between us & art in father tower
+ Variety awakens the mind
varying tower heights and sizes in daughter tower

When displaying art, I tried to think about instances in real life when we are tempted or beckoned to look at inquire at or about something. Instantly, a car crash scenario came to mind. Because we cannot see (prevented by physical barriers) and should not care to see, we want to see all the more. I tried to recreate this in the father tower with the void which does not allow to come within a certain physical distance of the paintings, in turn creating the sense that we are not allowed to see.

Also, working with the idea that variety awakens the mind and causes us to be more conscious (e.g. walking along a straight flat road as opposed to walking in the forest, dodging between trees), the display towers + shafts in the daughter tower vary in size and height.
